GARY Lineker hopes to score in business after setting up a property development company to add to his fortune.
Lineker, 59 – who this week agreed to take a £400,000 BBC pay cut – could recoup the cash after launching the firm with a pal.
Lineker said to be worth about £30million, and builder George Constand, 33, has established GCGL Properties. They are the only directors of the company in Croydon, South London.
A source said: “Gary is a very canny operator and knows an opportunity when he sees one.
“He’s set this up with someone he trusts and wants to make money from the housing market.”
The source added: “They will snap up and do up properties, and hope to trade them at a decent profit.”
Dad of four Linker, who lives in a £4 million home in leafy Barnes, south-west London took the BBC pay cut as he signed a new five-year deal with the corporation.
